Our Project
Philadelphia Project
What?
A new worship service that will be closer to people. Closer and more understandable geographically, by form and also by content.
Goal?
Reaching out to 250,000 hearts in Bucharest (the Western and the Southern districts)
When?
2008-2011
Who?
Our great God. Members of our church as the core. Practical help from partnering churches. Hired full-time workers. Prayer and financial partners. Qualified advisors and mentors.
Why?
We greatly enjoy the development of ministry in our church in the areas of building believers as well as reaching unbelieving individuals. On the other hand a longer time already we observe the state of so many people without the Lord Jesus and we are asking a question if we could fulfil our calling more effectively.
The project we call Philadelphia (Brotherly Love) because we believe that this way God can be glorified not only through us but especially through many other people that will see our testimony (Matt. 5:16).
We also search some good literature by experienced authors.
Estimated budget: $130,000
This amount includes the following expenses:
- Wages for 3 or 4 full-time workers (pastor, worship leader, small groups leader, children leader); promotional, discipleship, evangelism and informational materials, renting of the meeting hall and other expenses.
We estimate that we will cover 10% of the budget. The plan is for our congregation to become financially independent by 2011.
We anticipate that after the beginning of the project Philadelphia, the financial gifts of our friends and partners will cover 90% of the expenses and decrease annually with 25%.
May the Lord guide us, prepare the soil of the unreached hearts, enable us and supply all our needs according to His glorious reaches so we can extend His Kingdom in Bucharest and beyond!
